International Exhibits zone expands by 30 per cent;
New product definition and ‘green’ home design to steer industry trends
1,057 manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world are gearing up for CIFM / interzum guangzhou – the largest and most comprehensive trading platform for the woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior design industry in Asia – where they will be putting on their best show for more than 50,000 visitors who are expected to descend at this manufacturing boomtown in China starting Mar 27.
Organizers have reported heartening response from the industry with the fair growing by 20 per cent in scale since last year to reach 130,000 square-meters and among which the exhibition space of international halls has grown by approximately 30 per cent. There are 243 international exhibitors staking out all the available booths at the international halls, including first-time group exhibitors from the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), Turkey, Chile and Spain, as well as old-timers Germany, Italy and the US.
The event this year will be presented in a new layout and more efficient format with finer product definition:
• Hall 14.1 for hardware, components and fitting
• Hall 15.1 for
a) Materials and equipment for upholstery and bedding
b) Wood products and adhesives
c) Materials and equipment for interior design
• Hall 11.1 for woodworking machinery, tools and other machinery
Located at Hall 14.1 is also the Piazza lounge where participants can hold business discussions in a conducive environment.
In addition, exhibitors and visitors are also expected to participate actively at the other highlight of the event – the Green Home Design’ forum – which features industry veterans from associations, senior management of manufacturers, technical gurus, and top interior and industrial designers to explore issues evolving the trends of low carbon emission and environmental friendliness.
As with previous years, interzum guangzhou will be held in conjunction with the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF).
